Jeff Burkhart weaves heart into his songs, bridging memory, experience, purpose and a sense of place. “Writing songs is a way to explore thoughts and feelings. Performing is an expression of those thoughts and feelings. I’m most pleased with a song when I’ve gotten down to the bone and it speaks something essential,” he said. His record with The Dirty Shirts was named one of the ten best Madison albums by Isthmus.

“Burkhart writes songs that would make Kristofferson reach over to turn up the radio, and sings them with the swagger and blue notes of Yoakum.” – Andy Moore, producer of Wisconsin Public Television’s 30 Minute Music Hour

Anna Wang speaks the language of pop. A four-on-the-floor beat, a shimmery synth hook, a jangly guitar loop, a lilting vocal melody — all are second nature for the versatile singer, songwriter, instrumentalist and producer based in Madison, Wisconsin.

Wang, a classically trained pianist, makes atmospheric pop that evokes the likes of Lorde, the Postal Service, Cher, or Charli XCX. Her debut 2017 album In Your Head is an exploration of unbridled passion. Since its release, Wang has been staying busy, performing sets on Wisconsin Public Television and the stages of Summerfest. In April, she dropped her first single of 2018, “New Religion”, a track that speaks to the mission statement emblazoned on her album: Beat for beat, hook for hook, Wang makes music that’s going to be in your head.
